There are minimal restrictions during Invisalign First treatment. Your child should avoid eating or drinking with the aligners in and maintain good oral hygiene. Additionally, it is important for your child to wear the aligners for 20 to 22 hours a day for optimal results.
You will need to visit the dentist approximately every 6 to 8 weeks to monitor your child's progress and receive the next sets of aligners. Regular visits are essential to ensure the treatment is progressing as planned.
If your child loses or damages an aligner, contact Dental Plus immediately. Your dentist will advise you on the next steps, which may include wearing the previous set of aligners or moving on to the next set while a replacement is ordered.
Many dental insurance plans cover Invisalign First treatment, especially if it is deemed medically necessary. Check with your insurance provider to understand your coverage and any out-of-pocket costs.
Yes, Invisalign First aligners are made of smooth, comfortable plastic that is less likely to cause irritation compared to traditional braces. The aligners are custom-made to fit your child's teeth, ensuring a comfortable fit.
Invisalign® First is an Invisalign® treatment made just for children ages 7-11. The aligners are designed to guide the growth of your child’s jaws and stop orthodontic issues in their tracks.
Because Invisalign® aligners are removable, your child can enjoy all their favourite foods and brush and floss as usual during treatment. The aligners are also clear and smooth, which makes them a discreet and comfortable introduction to orthodontics.
Invisalign First can address a variety of dental issues in children, including crowding, spacing, narrow dental arches, and alignment problems. It helps guide the growth of the jaw and teeth to prevent more severe issues later on.

Establish a harmonious facial appearance
Treat conditions caused by tongue-thrusting or thumb-sucking
Treat and prevent crooked teeth, crowded teeth, spaced teeth

Align the jaw bones to treat overbite, underbite, open bite, crossbite, or midline misalignment
Widen the jaw bones to create room for permanent teeth to grow
The duration of Invisalign First treatment varies depending on the complexity of the case. On average, treatment can take between 6 to 18 months. Your dentist will provide a more accurate timeline based on your child's specific needs.
To care for your child's Invisalign First aligners, clean them daily with a soft toothbrush and lukewarm water. Avoid using hot water, as it can warp the plastic. Additionally, rinse the aligners every time they are removed to keep them fresh.
Invisalign First works by using a series of custom-made aligners that gradually move your child's teeth into the desired position. Each set of aligners is worn for about one to two weeks before moving on to the next set in the series.
It is recommended to remove the Invisalign First aligners when eating or drinking anything other than water. This helps prevent staining and damage to the aligners. Always ensure your child brushes their teeth before reinserting the aligners.
